How should I maintain my clarinet?

A well-maintained clarinet not only sounds better, but lasts longer. Make sure you regularly check cork joints for smooth fitting and apply a little cork grease when needed. Pads should seal evenly and not stick - if they do, a light clean with pad paper can help.

It’s also important to inspect your instrument for loose screws, bent keys, or sticky rods. A quick check after each use can save you a lot of repair work down the line.
