Music is better together
At pBone Music, we work with the best manufacturers in the business. That means music hubs and educators can choose their instruments in complete confidence.
Our partners share our values. We collaborate on the issues that matter to your hub: sustainability, local supply chain, support and resources, warranty and repairs, and helping more children play and progress.
With Yamaha Music UK, this has led to a brand-new partnership: the Progressive Instrument Partnership for Music Hubs, Schools, and Educators.
Together, we can help your hub access the right instruments, at the right time, for your students.

Helping hubs to deliver music
We are already working with music hubs across the country, partnering on the issues that matter most. Here are three key areas of focus that we have identified to support hubs.
Progressive Instrument Pathways
Accelerating pupil progression by selecting the right instruments at the right time. Starting with the best beginner instruments and helping learners graduate with premium instruments from brands like Yamaha.
Sustainable Instrument Procurement
Supporting hubs to be environmentally and financially sustainable. Auditing and recycling existing instrument stock, sourcing products made in the UK and focusing on quality instruments that are easy to repair and service.
Accredited Training and Resources
Engaging schools and bringing more music to the classroom with accredited CPD courses on pBuzz, empowering primary teachers to deliver music. Free resources, maintenance guides and ongoing support for hubs and schools.
Events and Training
We work with our partners to give you the support you need at conferences, training days, and other music hub events.
Jonty and the pBone Music team can offer in-person demonstrations across our entire product range. We have also worked with our SEND and Inclusion partners to give hands-on training, meaning that you can trial instruments and train staff before you purchase.
In June 2024, we worked with Yamaha Music UK to host the first-ever Music Hub Conference. This two-day event at Yamaha Music's UK headquarters gave educators behind-the-scenes access and expert advice from industry insiders.
Day One focussed on instrument repair and servicing, giving hubs information about maintaining their instruments. Day Two saw many of our SEND and Inclusion Partners join to give hub staff the chance to trial the latest accessible instruments for the classroom.
Yamaha Conference 2024
"I think the best thing I've learned today is really about the value of communication through the ranks. So from the person that's in charge of 30,000 instruments and on to the player. And I realise I'm part of that chain of people that have to deal with an instrument "
